Wired.com has confirmed that Google will be demonstrating Google Chrome OS to the world sometime Thursday afternoon (morning in the US). What exactly will be revealed remains a mystery but the speculation online has been that a downloadable version will be released this week. This morning demonstration could well be the time for it, or it might not, we are pretty much left guessing as to what exactly it will mean to us. What is the point of it all? Why are Google making us suffer in anticipation? Give us something, please!
The wait is drawing to a close. What we expect to see is some sort of Linux variant that will mainly host the Chrome browser through which content will be blasted onto computers. The initial market was Netbook users, but lets be honest, Google has never been one to limit itself. They will be going big or nothing at all, of that we can be sure. How much information was sent into the world as disinformation we will not know until tomorrow afternoon, but it is always awesome when something you have been waiting for so long, finally gets revealed. In this case I hope we get an OS we can play around with.
More interesting news about Google, but a rumor yet again, is that they are perhaps working on a mobile phone. Not just a mobile phone, but a super duper mobile phone some are calling the G-phone… Apparently it will be the Android phone of phones. Keep an eye on this space!
