MyBroadband is the largest IT Website in South Africa with 1 million unique monthly visitors, serving the local market with technology and business tech news and the largest online community in the country.
When was MyBroadband founded?
MyBroadband was started in 2003 (known then as MyADSL) as a forum to address the broadband problems which existed in South Africa at the time. Since then website grew into a full blown IT News publication and online community, serving over 5 million pages per month.
Who are we?
MyBroadband has a small team of journalists and marketing staff who are passionate about ensuring that they serve the needs of the South African IT community.

| Rudolph is the editor at MyBroadband and covers telecoms and broadband news. Rudolph comes from an academic background, but left the University of Johannesburg in 2007 to run MyBroadband full time. Rudolph holds an MSc in IT. | |

| Jan Vermeulen is a technology journalist and web specialist at MyBroadband. After receiving a Computer Engineering degree at the University of Pretoria he worked at SAAB’s Civil Security division as an engineer and developer. He then moved to MyBroadband to pursue a career that combined his interest in technology and his love of writing. He is a vociferous reader, avid gamer, rocker and total computer geek. | |

| James Etherington-Smith is the editor of MyGaming. He also serves as sub-editor for MyBroadband. Having considered careers in law and software engineering, James settled on his love for the English language and writing, completing a degree in Journalism at the University of Johannesburg in 2007. Aside from having been a technology lover from an early age, stints as an IT technician and as a Matric-level computer sciences tutor provided a solid foundation for entering into the technology media space. | |

| Nic began developing a passion for technology and video games as a teenager, and aspired to be a tech journalist from a young age. After completing a Media studies and Philosophy degree at WITS he began his writing career as a freelancer, starting with any publications that would publish his articles. Prior to joining MyBroadband, Nic had been published in the likes of PCFormat, SL Magazine, Jozi Weekly and others. Nic now writes for MyGaming.co.za, one of SA’s leading gaming and technology publications. | |

| Alastair Otter is a senior freelance journalist at MyBroadband, and focuses on software and hardware. He has a particular love for Open Source Software (OSS) and in specific Linux and related developments. Alastair previous ran the well known Techtonic publication which focussed on OSS, and is one of the most respected tech journalists in South Africa. | |
