Afrihost launches November special doubling their ADSL data bundle sizes for all top-ups
Afrihost caused a stir in the ADSL market in September when they launched their R29 per GB ADSL data promotion. Since then the company has significantly grown its ADSL user base, but indicated at the time that they had many other innovative products in the pipeline that would shake up the ADSL ISP space.
The company has now launched a promotion where Afrihost clients who top up their ADSL accounts will get double the amount of bandwidth paid for. A client who therefore tops up their account with 1 GB will receive 2 GB, effectively dropping the price to R14.50 per GB. This price is well below any other per-GB top up product for blended bandwidth.
“Did you think it couldn’t get any better than our R29/GB for ADSL? Well for our clients it just has,” says Gian Visser, Afrihost CEO. “Until the end of November (or perhaps before then depending on the uptake) for every GB that you top up through your Client Zone we’ll give you an extra one.”
Afrihost however reminded subscribers that the ADSL top-up data is only valid until the end of November and that “anything you don’t use will expire”. Afrihost added that if the uptake is higher than expected the offer may expire before the end of November.
