Final version of the Broadband Bible names the cheapest ADSL and broadband providers in the country

Cheapest ADSL services revealed

In December last year the South African Broadband Bible was launched in beta with the aim of helping consumers to “make an informed decision regarding ADSL offerings, based on nothing but the real facts”.  The final version of this broadband resource was launched earlier this year.

According to the authors the Broadband Bible is a “catalog of all the major ADSL offers and deals in South Africa. It allows you to choose the one that best matches your needs, with full confidence that you are getting the best deal rather than the most-advertised deal.”  The Broadband Bible will be released on a monthly basis, updated with the latest offerings, prices, and specials from broadband ISPs.

The Broadband Bible founder Eve Dmochowska explained that despite the open access to information on the Internet, significant price discrepancies still exist.

“Basically what it boils down to is that the theory of having perfect information does not (not even closely) lead to attaining the “Perfect Price,” said Dmochowska.  “Which is why, with pretty websites and confusing language, many ISPs get away with overcharging.”

Pricing comparisons

The first version of The Broadband Bible contains a wealth of information regarding ADSL services in South Africa, including basic pricing comparisons and the best deals in various categories, an ‘A-Z Listing of ADSL providers’ and individual ISP offerings.

The final version of the 66 page PDF document compares ADSL and Wireless plans in South Africa, and contains information from “35+ ISPs and about 300+ different plans”.

The table below provides a basic overview of some of the best deals as documented in The Broadband Bible.  It should however be noted that this information is exactly as provided in The Broadband Bible, and that there are some notable offerings which were not included in the research.
