Web Africa unveils long awaited ADSL pricing and package overhaul; more to follow in July
Web Africa, one of South Africa’s biggest ADSL providers, has unveiled their new ADSL pricing. The new pricing typically sees price decreases and monthly bandwidth allocation increases.
Some of the significant changes include the price reduction of 1GB of shaped data from R70 per month to R59 per month, and a 10% bandwidth increase across all DSL Groups packages. “We have made minor reductions to our shaped prepaid while unshaped and local have seen dramatic reductions,” says Web Africa CEO Matthew Tagg.
Web Africa is also placing a stronger focus on one-account packages – which combine ADSL access and data bundle prices. According to Tagg their one-account ADSL offerings are now of the most competitively priced in the market.
While the latest Web Africa pricing is not as aggressive as some of the other offerings in market, Tagg says that their aim is not to compete on price alone, but also ensure that they provide their subscribers with excellent quality of service and the high support levels they have become known for.
Web Africa is already offering free on-net gaming bandwidth, and there is more to come from the ISP. Tagg explains that this is only the first phase in their price restructuring, and that consumers can expect a significant improvement in value in mid-July.
