Telkom Internet ADSL subscribers will get up to 20GB of data to use in July and August 2011
Telkom recently announced that their Do Broadband and Telkom Internet subscribers on 5GB and 9GB data bundles can expect an extra 1GB of data from July 2011.
Telkom is however set to give their subscribers an early Christmas present by boosting ADSL data bundle sizes significantly for the next two months.
According to information received by MyBroadband, Telkom Internet subscribers will get between 4GB and 11GB of free data in July and August. The planned data bonuses are as follows:
- 1GB subscribers will get 5GB
- 5GB subscribers will get 10GB
- 9GB subscribers will get 20GB
These new data bundle sizes will be available for the next two months only and will apply to both existing and new subscribers.
Telkom subscribers confirmed that their daily CAP report from Telkom showed the higher monthly usage limits.
At R239.00 per month for 20GB (R11.95 per GB) this special promotion by Telkom provides better value for money than most other ADSL ISP products available.
The low end R79.00 for 5GB, which translates into R15.80 per GB, also compares favourably with competing offerings such as MWEB’s 3GB for R79 or Afrihost’s 5GB for R95.
Telkom was contacted for comment, but the company did not respond by the time of publication.
