Cybersmart, one of South Africa’s largest Internet Service Providers, is expanding its product range with a new CCTV product and its own online radio station.

Cybersmart CEO Laurie Fialkov told MyBroadband that they have secured exclusive rights to a new Closed-circuit television (CCTV) product, which they will launch shortly.

The company has also launched its own radio station, called LOUD radio, which they are planning to expand into a full blown IPTV offering.

Cybersmart also has numerous other products in the pipeline. “After SATNAC we had numerous local developers approaching us for assistance with new products they want to create. I believe many of these new products will create value when bundled with our ADSL services,” said Fialkov.

Many local ISPs are looking to launch new products like voice services, using VoIP, to bolster their revenues. VoIP offerings have been successful revenue drivers for many service providers, but to date the take-up of paid-for services like IPTV and online music offerings has been slow.
