Many Telkom ADSL users across the country have reported international connectivity problems on Friday morning (5 October 2012).

According to MyBroadband forum members the outage started in the early hours of the morning, and it was still ongoing at the time of publication (shortly before 08:00).

Initial indications show that Telkom Internet capped and uncapped clients are affected by the outage. All services seem to be affected, including web surfing, gaming and email.

Telkom informed MyBroadband that the problem was caused by a caching server hardware failure which started around 07:00 on Friday morning.

This problem was resolved at around 10:00, and all services should be back to normal.
