Broadband laptop bundles: The best deals

Over the last few years bundled broadband products – which typically includes a PC, laptop or netbook with a standard data bundle – have started to emerge.

One of the aims of these bundles is to lower the barrier of entry to get a computer, broadband service and in the case of the mobile providers a data card.

Telkom is currently promoting its Do Broadband Acer netbook and notebook bundles while Vodacom and MTN also have notebook and netbook offerings.  iBurst is also selling 1 GB and 2 GB notebook  bundles.

Most of the notebook and netbook broadband bundles come on 24 month and 36 month contracts, and pricing is heavily dependent on the data bundle size and the quality of the laptop which is included in the bundle.

The following table provides an overview of some of the current broadband laptop bundles available from Telkom, Vodacom, MTN and iBurst.
