Vodacom is set to launch a 3GB for R199 contract data promotion, but has backtracked on its plans to also offer a similar pre-paid offering.
Vodacom planned to cut the price of its MyGig 3 once-off data bundles from the usual R499 to R199, and communicated this planned promotion with its partners. However, Vodacom has decided to pull the plug on this plan.
Vodacom will essentially make its 3GB for R199 contract promotion for businesses available to consumers.
Vodacom was asked about its decision to backtrack on its MyGig 3 once-off data bundle promotion, but the company said it could not comment on the issue.
The MyGig 3 contract promotion will run from 7 June 2012 to 31 July 2012.
