Vodacom has extended its 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB data promotions until 6 December 2012, following extensions from MTN and Cell C on their broadband deals.

Vodacom first launched its 1GB and 2GB data promotion in on 7 February 2012, and at the time said that this special pricing would expire on 6 May 2012.

In May Vodacom announced that it had extended its MyGig 1 and MyGig 2 data contract promotion to 31 July 2012. This followed an announcement by MTN a few days earlier in which the company said that its 2GB for R149 data special will continue to run until 31 July 2012.

Toward the end of July Vodacom reiterated that their data specials would end on 31 July 2012, but the company has now backtracked on this statement after MTN extended its R149 for 2GB promotion “until further notice”.

Cell C has also extended its current mobile broadband promotions to 30 September 2012, and has introduced a new flat rate for its standard data bundles of 15c per MB.

8ta announced on 11 May 2012 that it has extended their 10GIG, 3GIG and 120GIG data promotions until the end of March 2013.
