Neotel uncapped consumer WiMax launched

Neotel has launched two consumer WiMax products, called NeoFlex WiMAX Lite, offering uncapped data at speeds of 512kbps and 1Mbps respectively.

Neotel’s uncapped 512kbps WiMax service is priced at R499 on a 12-month contract, with a once off installation fee of R500.

Neotel’s uncapped 1Mbps WiMax service is priced at R750 on a 12-month contract, with a once off installation fee of R500.

According to a Neotel distributor, both services have a limit where users will be throttled after exceeding this limit:

• 1Mbps subscribers will start to be throttled to 512kbps after exceeding 120GB of monthly usage
• 512kbps subscribers will start to be throttled to 256kbps after exceeding 60GB of monthly usage
