Vodacom has reduced the price of its “pay once data bundles”, which now offers 1GB of data every 30 days for a year at R999, and 2GB of data every 30 days for a year at R1,499.

“We have decided to drop our rates further, from 18 October 2012,” Vodacom said in their communication.

“With our new Pre-paid Pay Once data bundles, you can forget the hassle of having to buy data bundles every month. You get data allocated to you automatically every 30 days for a year after paying upfront,” the Vodacom communication stated.

“You get a whole gig every month for 12 months for only R83.25 per GB or two gigs every month for 12 months for R124.92 per 2GB when purchasing a Pay Once bundle,” said Vodacom.

The out-of-bundle price for both these data bundles is R2/MB – in line with other pre-paid data products.

The following table shows the old and new pricing of Vodacom’s pay once data bundles.
