MultiChoice will open five of its Premium channels to DStv Compact subscribers from 18 March to 4 April 2016, TV journalist Thinus Ferreira reported.

The channels are:

  • E! Entertainment (DStv 124)
  • Nickelodeon (DStv 305)
  • Comedy Central (DStv 122)
  • Lifetime (DStv 131)
  • Nick Jr. (DStv 307)

Lifetime and Nick Jr. will also be opened to DStv Extra subscribers during the same period.

This is not the first time MultiChoice has opened up some of its Premium channels to subscribers on lower-tier packages.

In November 2013, the satellite pay TV operator opened several channels to DStv Access, Select 1 and 2, Family, Compact, and Extra subscribers for a week.
