Payscale has released its salary comparison of technology companies in the United States, which show that Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn’s IT employees receive the highest salaries.

Facebook employees report the highest median early-career salary ($116,800), with LinkedIn and Google coming in second and third.

For mid-career salaries, LinkedIn reigned supreme ($159,600), followed by Google, Facebook, and Apple.

While SpaceX employees are happy that their jobs make the world a better place, they have relatively low early-career salaries of $78,500.

Young guns

The median age at Facebook, LinkedIn, and SpaceX is 29, and only IBM, Oracle, and HP have a median employee age over 33.

“What can we say about most tech workers? They are young, highly paid, and mostly male. If you want to join their numbers, it may be time to learn how to code,” said Payscale.

The tables below provide a look at the salary comparison. The rand value was calculated at $1 = R15.61.
