iPhone contract pricing: Vodacom vs MTN vs Cell C

Cell C launched the Apple iPhone on its network recently, offering consumers the iPhone 4 8GB, iPhone 4s 16GB, iPhone 4s 32GB, and iPhone 4s 64GB.

Cell C is offering the iPhone on all Cell C Straight Up Post-paid packages and Straight Up TopUp packages, with typical prices ranging between R279 per month (iPhone 4 8GB on a 24-month Straight Up 50 contract), and R799 per month (iPhone 4S 64GB on a 24-month Straight Up 400 package).

Good news for iPhone enthusiasts is that Cell C is offering 300MB of data for all iPhone sales. If customers select a package where some data is already included, they will receive an additional 300MB of data free of charge.

To accurately compare iPhone packages from Vodacom, MTN and Cell C is challenging, especially considering how difficult it is to find accurate pricing from Vodacom.

The Vodacom website provides little help to prospective iPhone subscribers regarding what is available, and what they can expect to pay at the end of the day.
