Vodacom has launched its new “Extra Time” promotion, offering existing and new prepaid and top up subscribers free talktime from 7am and 8pm.

“Now prepaid and top up customers pay for the first 3 minutes and talk for rest of the hour for free,” a Vodacom advertisement stated.

Vodacom’s extra time promotion applies only to Vodacom-to-Vodacom calls during peak hours, and will run from 15 October to 31 October 2012.

“This promotion will reward all our Prepaid and Top Up customers by offering them great value savings on voice calls this summer. This is the type of value that our customers can expect this festive season,” said Phil Patel, Chief Consumer Officer at Vodacom.

Vodacom is also promoting its “big bang birthday” deals, which include a Samsung Galaxy Pocket smartphone with R135 airtime per month at R89 per month on a 24 month contract.

The company is further offering a BlackBerry 9320, including BIS and R99 airtime, for R159 per month on a 24 month contract.
