Vodacom confirms July launch of Apple iPhone 3G S in South Africa
Apple yesterday introduced its third generation touch screen mobile phone, the new iPhone 3G S. The latest iPhone promises up to twice the performance of its predecessor, the iPhone 3G, and further boasts longer battery life, a 3 Megapixel autofocus camera, video recording and hands free voice control.
In the United States the new iPhone 3G S will offer twice the capacity for the same price as the previous iPhone. Apple also announced that the iPhone 3G is available at a contract price of $99 for the 8GB model.
Good news for local iPhone enthusiasts is that the new iPhone 3G S will be available through Vodacom in July. Vodacom announced today that it will launch the “iPhone 3G S, the fastest most powerful iPhone yet, in South Africa in July 2009”.
No pricing details have been released yet.
