What a nonsense. The HUD adds a new option for accessing the menus, without removing the old options. And, after playing around with it, I can say that it is very convenient for many taks - as long as the traditional menu is still there to give you an overview over the existing funtionality of a program.

Whenever you want to be productive - the opposite of playing flash games on the internet or playing mp3s - the keyboard approach is extremly quick and convenient.

The current Mint, however, is just awful and confusing. Even Cinnamon doesn't make me very happy-

No consultation was done with the public whatsoever over this and there are still no safe alternative modes of transport which other large cities employ to get less citizens to use road vehicles. If they had spent that money on better public transport I would be more than happy to use it. Dumbasses..

What does this mean??
"it said the Minister of Transport will table the necessary legislation to provide SANRAL with enforcement powers for tolling."

Apparently, a few weeks ago Sanral employees along with our beloved JMPD were at roadblocks, intimidating motorists who did not have etags.

I wouldn't call it immature behavior. Anonymous has never done anything to harm national infrastructure. The NSA is just attempting to paint them in a negative light here. What's the alternative? Stand by and just take it as the man sticks it to you?

Exactly. Our government sold our roads off to some international company whom now wants to recoup on their investment. We just got screwed over in this transaction.

And PS to npco543:
Isn't Anonymous making people paranoid?
Besides, they're just as corrupt as the govt is. They claim to be "for the people", yet I don't think they've ever done anything that pleases ME.

Couldn't agree more. Anon is digging our graves, and they don't even care. Besides, if they do carry out "Operation Global Blackout", they will be hailed as criminals across the globe and lose much support. And if the internet is down, how will they do anything? Nobody communicates without the internet except by email, and that would expose members. Nah, not gonna happen.

The municipality should leverage the infrastructure already put in place by the local service providers which they look after so well: Mxit should offer all the bandwidth they can muster to local service providers in some sort of deal. In that way the mayor's promises will have been fulfilled in weeks, if not days. This is a golden opportunity to come up with a model that can truly conquer the digital divide in South Africa. If they fail to implement it properly we will all be worse off for it.

I truly wish that everybody could see the real bigger picture here - in time broadband will be almost free everywhere - but free can also be used as an excuse to cheapen a product or service by not supporting- or implementing it properly and in effect diminishing it's usefulness.

Hi misty, you should approach all the local internet service providers for quotations - I'm sure you'll find that someone has a cost-effective solution and that if you put in the work, the funding will almost take care of itself!
