Big price cuts on tech products, gadgets

You can save thousands of rands on technology products this weekend in various promotions and specials

Luis Suarez you beauty. The bookies were stupid enough to give me odds of 175 to 1 on the Uruguayan soccer star biting an opponent at the World Cup – don’t they follow football?

Saurez has bitten opponents twice before the 2014 World Cup kicked off, and I did what any self-respecting soccer fan would do: took some of the kids’ school fees and bet big on Suarez nibbling on an opponent.

This bet paid off handsomely. After I put back the few hundred rands I borrowed from Johnny’s education fund, I have a stack of R200 notes which is burning a hole in my pocket.

The 2014 World Cup is only reaching its climax now, and to spend the money on anything other than great home entertainment and gadgets would be as stupid as the bookies giving me 175 to 1 odds on a sure thing.

Here are some of the best tech and gadget deals I could find this weekend. Happy spending.
