New Samsung Gear VR price for South Africa announced

Samsung South Africa has announced local pricing for its new Gear VR headset.

Samsung’s Gear VR headset, compatible with the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, has launched in South Africa.

The new Gear VR will be available at a suggested retail price of R1,999 in Frost White from Samsung Brand Stores.

Gear VR uses the processing power and Super AMOLED displays of compatible devices to create a virtual reality experience.

Samsung and Facebook revealed the new Gear VR headset at Facebook’s Oculus Connect VR developer conference in September, saying the device would launch in November at a retail price of $99.
