Many South African retailers are pushing out their mid-year specials, with everything from TVs and monitors, to hard drives and gaming consoles getting some “special” treatment.

Makro, Musica, and Esquire are all offering deals this weekend, with Makro cutting the price of their TV products, Musica bundling some gaming attractions, and Esquire offering a variety of other tech and hardware-related deals.

LG 42-inch Full HD LCD TV (Makro) R4,999.00

Makro are currently offering a special on an LG 42-inch LCD TV.

The television features a 1920×1080 (full HD) resolution and sports 1 HDMI and 2 USB ports.

The LG 42-inch LCD TV is available at R4,999 until 6 August 2012.

Similar  to Makro, Hi-Fi Corp is also offering a special on their LG 42-inch  LCD TV, although the model is slightly different.

The 42LK430 model (offered by Hi-Fi Corp) features 3 HDMI ports as the 42CS460 (offered by Makro’s special) which features 2.

Hisense X3D 46-inch 3D LED TV (Esquire) R5,999.00

Esquire is running a deal on a Hisense X3D 46-inch television, along with some additional functionality for tech junkies.

The Hisense X3D sports a full HD 1920×1080 resolution screen, along with some Internet functionality. The deal includes two free 3D glasses.

If you’re looking to pick up everything and the kitchen sink for your gaming needs this weekend, Music is offering a special Xbox 360 deal.
