Vodacom and Primedia team up for Gotcha!

Vodacom and Primedia have joined forces to integrate local radio stations, Highveld and KFM, into a new social media game.

Titled Gotcha!, the game requires Joburg and Cape Town smartphone users to trace a virtual wallet called Smart Money to win a share of R700,000 – split between the two cities.

The Gotcha! application will allow users to track the location of the virtual wallet within 100 metres. The player holding the virtual wallet at the right time trades the digital cash for real money.

The purpose of the game is to hold onto the virtual wallet as long as possible, evading other players while you bank digital cash.

The Gotcha! SA app is available for download through the Android, Blackberry and Apple app stores.

The game starts on 13 August and will run to 8 September.
