Local retailers are becoming increasingly competitive in the TV department, with Hi-Fi Corp delivering specials on some of the latest televisions.

Esquire is promoting a projector and screen bundle, while Dion Wired are offering a deal on a controller and game bundle.

Here are some of the noteworthy promotions which are available at major retailers this weekend.

Dion Wired has a special on an Xbox 360 controller and games bundle.

The wireless Xbox 360 controller (black), along with a charging cable and FIFA 11 and PGA Masters are thrown together for a price of R600.

The special is available from 25 July – 7 August 2012.

Hi-Fi Corp are offering an LG 32-inch HD-ready LCD TV for R2,599 this weekend.

The television comes with a 2-year warrenty, and Hi-Fi Corp are promising to ‘beat any other price’.

The special runs from 2 August 2012 – 5 August 2012.

Similar to the previous deal, Hi-Fi Corp is prepared to beat any price on its other LG special.

This LG 42-inch Full HD LCD TV is priced at R4,599 this weekend.

Esquire are offering a 800×600 resolution projector and screen special this weekend.

The slim LG BS275 projector is priced at R2,999, with an Esquire manual projector screen (1.8m x 1.8m) included.

Makro are offering a special a Samsung 46-inch Full-HD LED TV.

The price has been reduced from R8,499 to R6,999.
