Adobe are removing Flash from Google Play (US) as of 15 August.

Those who have the app currently installed will get security updates, but no newer version will be released.

The emergence of HTML5 as an alternative hass been suggested as a reason why most companies are moving away from Adobe’s technology.

Adobe had previously announced that it was stopping development of Flash for mobile browsers.

Flash is also unsupported on the latest version of Android, Jelly Bean.
