Galaxy Note 10.1 launches in SA

Samsung SA held the official launch event for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in Johannesburg.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was officially launched at an event held in Johannesburg tonight (6 September 2012).

Samsung announced that the Note 10.1 would go on sale at all Samsung brand stores this week and will retail for R8,499.

The Note 10.1 features a quad-core processor with 1.4 GHz clock speed; a 5 megapixel rear camera, and 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera which tracks a user’s eye movements to prevent the device from going into standby mode.

Samsung’s Note-series S Pen makes a return with the Note 10.1, and the tablet sports new split-screen multi-tasking functionality.

The device comes loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, although an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is in the works.
