The Nokia Lumia 920 will be available on the Vodacom network, a company spokesperson recently told MyBroadband.

Asked when they expect the device to land in South Africa, Vodacom said that the launch date has not been confirmed yet, added that but it would be aligned with the supplier launch date in the local market.

Pricing information would also only be provided closer to the time of launch, Vodacom said.

Both Virgin Mobile and MTN SA’s head of product innovation and development, Mike Fairon, directed our enquiry to Nokia.

“MTN is not at liberty to divulge its plans regarding the Lumia 920 but will make the necessary announcement to media should there be developments in this regard,” Fairon said.

Nokia’s communication manager said that they have yet to reveal any pricing or ranging details, but will make announcements in this regard in due course.

8ta’s Amith Maharaj said that they have not ranged the Lumia 920 as yet, but added that they would stock it depending on customer demand. “8ta currently supplies other Nokia Lumia phones on pre and post-paid deals,” Maharaj said.
