Free map updates for life with new Garmins

New Garmins will come with free lifetime map updates

Garmin Southern Africa announced in a press statement today (11 October 2012) that South African consumers can look forward to free map updates for life when they buy a Garmin personal navigation device (PND) preloaded with City Navigator Southern Africa.

Qualifying nüvi PNDs will offer the most accurate map data possible, Garmin said, with over 780,000 km of road coverage and more than 310,000 points of interest.

Garmin’s free nüMaps Lifetime SA card is included in the box with the purchase of the following PNDs that have City Navigator Southern Africa bundled:

  • nüvi 40LM Bundle;
  • nüvi 50LM Bundle;
  • nüvi 2495LMT Bundle;
  • nüvi 2595LMT Bundle;
  • nüvi 3490LMT Bundle;
  • nüvi 3590LMT Bundle.

To activate the service, customers will have to register their product on the Garmin website and redeem the voucher at garmin.com/activatecard.

Garmin City Navigator GPS with lifetime map updates is now available at Garmin retailers nationwide.
