Microsoft unveiling Windows Phone 8 “hot on the heels” of Windows 8

Microsoft SA has announced that it will unveil Windows Phone 8 in South Africa on Wednesday, 31 October 2012.

This will be hot on the heels of the Windows 8 launch which is scheduled for midnight on 26 October 2012.

“It’s the next building block of the broader Windows experience – and we think it’s beautiful,” Microsoft said in its invitation to media.

HTC, Nokia, and Samsung have announced Windows Phone 8 devices for South Africa, all of which are expected to land in November 2012.
