This weekend, there are some interesting specials on offer – with everything from TVs to 3D headsets making the cut for the deals of the week.

There are also tablets and hard drives to scratch the gadget-enthusiast itch this weekend.

Animeworx has a very interesting item on special – a Sony HMZ-T1 Personal 3D viewer.

The 3D headset originally retailed for around R9,000, and now at most places you could expect to find it for around R4,500, so Animeworx’s price special is in a solid range.

Its good to keep in mind that this is the HMZ-T1, and a HMZ-T2 is set to release soon; however, details and pricing for SA are still to be confirmed.

BT Games Greenstone opening specials (BT Games)

BT Games has a special on an Xbox 360 and PS3 bundle in celebration of its store opening in Greenstone (Modderfontein, Johannesburg).

The Xbox 360 bundle includes a 250GB console, boxed editions of Darksiders II, Gears of War: Judgment, Halo 4 and a download token for Batman: Arkham City. There is also a 1-month Gold voucher for Xbox Live included. The bundle is priced at R1,999.90.

The PS3 bundle includes a 500GB super-slim console, two Dual-Shock 3 controllers and Gran TUrismo 5: Academy Edition – all for R2,999.90.
