Tech and gadget prices slashed

Major South African retailers have cut the prices of selected technology products, including TVs, laptops and other gadgets

South Africa’s largest retailers are ramping up to the festive season by offering reduced prices on a range of technology products, including televisions, laptops and portable hard drives.

Dion Wired unveiled its “Blockbuster Deals” recently, which cut the price on selected gadgets, entertainment systems and household appliances.

Not to be outdone Makro, Incredible Connection, Game and Hi-Fi Corp are all running promotions on technology goods.

Here are some of the prominent special offers from South Africa’s largest tech retailers.

Samsung 50-inch Smart LED TV from Dion Wired – R11,500

Dion Wired has reduced the price of the Samsung 50-inch Smart LED TV (UA50F6400) from the usual R14,000 to R11,500.

The TV sports full HD 3D viewing, 3 x USB ports, 4 x HDMI Ports and comes with 2 x 3D glasses.

Lenovo Ideapad G580GL from Dion Wired – R4,500

Dion Wired cut the price of the Lenovo Ideapad G580GL from the usual R5,500 to R4,500.
