New WAPA committee unveiled

The latest-elected WAPA committee members were announced last night
The Wireless Access Providers’ Association’s (WAPA) annual general meeting (AGM) took place yesterday (5 December 2011) in Stellenbosch, where an election was held and the organisations’ new committee was announced.
Christopher Geerdts was elected as the industry body’s chair, while Mohammad Patel was elected as the deputy chair.
Other committee members include Ziggy Heuer as secretary; Abz van der Merwe as treasurer; and Nicola Smith, Henk Kleynhans, Coenraad Loubser and Johan van Biljon as exco members.
WAPA highlighted that Kleynhans will continue to “focus on the spectrum lobbying with regards to the TVWS pilot”.
