Cabinet has approved the gazetting of the terms and conditions of e-tolling, including updated tariffs, government communications said on Thursday.

“Following a briefing yesterday [Wednesday] to Cabinet by the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project, Cabinet has approved the gazetting of terms and conditions… that will apply to users of the toll road network in Gauteng,” it said in a statement.

A 30-day period for public comment was given.

“Government will, at the end of 30 days, incorporate this round of public comment and publish its final position after a further 14 days.”

A media briefing for further clarity was scheduled for Friday.
