Business laptops to feature eight hour battery life

Lenovo today announced the availability of a new ThinkPad laptop series designed specifically for small to medium sized business (SMB) customers.

The ThinkPadEdge range includes a number of features which may prove useful to the business user such as eight hour battery life, a choice between 13, 14 and 15 inch LED backlit models, wireless connectivity support for WiFi and optional Bluetooth, 3G and WiMAX, dual core processors and a pre loaded Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

“Small to medium business customers tell us they want PCs with bold yet professional designs, uncompromising durability and reliability with the latest technologies that meets their budgets,” said Henry Ferreira, country general manager. “Our answer is the new ThinkPad Edge family of laptops. They deliver stunning technology and powerful performance at an unprecedented value.”

Lenovo has confirmed that the ThinkPad Edge range will be available for a recommended retail price of R10 799 and upwards.
