Afrihost cuts hosting bandwidth prices

Afrihost have cut their over-usage data prices by up to 77%

Afrihost announced today (5 March 2012) that they have reduced their hosting data over-usage pricing by up to 77%.

The price reductions, effective from 1 March 2012, are as follows:

  • Shared hosting (Linux and Windows): reduced from R30 per GB – to R7 per GB
  • Cloud hosting: reduced from R15 per GB – to R7 per GB
  • Dedicated hosting: reduced from R15 per GB – to R7 per GB
  • Rack hosting: reduced from R15 per GB-  to R12 per GB

Afrihost currently competes against service providers like Hetzner and Web Africa in the local hosting market, and their new pricing is competitive when compared to their rivals.
