Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the IAB South Africa, and provides accurate traffic and demographics statistics for South Africa’s top websites.

According to the stats, News24 attracted 6,203,850 unique South African browsers last month.

Gumtree was ranked second with 5,359,646 unique local browsers, followed by TimesLive with 2,953,215.

The table below shows the largest IAB SA-affiliated websites in South Africa, as well as their traffic growth over the last 12 months.

It should be noted that large websites which are not registered with the IAB SA, like Bidorbuy and the local banks, are not included.
