Biggest South African websites and online publishers

The latest Effective Measure statistics reveal the biggest South African websites, and the top online publishers in the country.

Effective Measure has released its website traffic statistics for February 2016, which rank News24 as the top South African website.

Effective Measure is the official traffic measurement partner of the IAB South Africa, and provides accurate traffic and demographics statistics for SA’s top websites.

According to the stats, News24 attracted 5.8 million South African Internet browsers during February.

Gumtree was ranked second with 5.2 million local browsers, followed by TimesLive with 3 million.

The table below shows the top 25 websites in South Africa, based on South African unique browsers (only South African Internet users).

It should be noted that only IAB-affiliated websites running Effective Measure’s tracking code are included in the table.
