Top 10 torrented movies with BitTorrent

As has become tradition, TorrentFreak has published their latest list of the most downloaded movies using the BitTorrent protocol.

This week sees newcomer The Way Back as the most torrented movie for the week with three other previously unranked torrents entering the list at number 3, 6 and 9.

A Pay-Per-View rip of I Am Number Four, a book whose film rights were sold before the book itself was even published, made its debut on TorrentFreak’s infamous list in third position.

PPV, or pay-per-view rips are copies of the film that are destined for the pay-per-view systems typically installed in hotels. Other terms used on this week’s list are telesync (TS) and DVD Region 5 (R5).

TRON: Legacy slipped from the third most downloaded movie to fifth,  but has been on the chart since the end of December 2010 where it ousted Inception to enter at first place.
