The latest DMMA/Effective Measure statistics reveal which local mobile websites are the most popular

The DMMA/Effective Measure’s May 2012 website statistics were released recently, revealing that News24 Mobile is the largest mobile website in South Africa.

According to the May 2012 Effective Measure statistics, News24 Mobile attracted 1,248,950 unique visitors, edging out Supersport Mobile with 1,159,330 unique monthly browsers.

Other prominent mobile destinations in South Africa include Soccer Laduma, Vodacom Mobile and Sport24′s WAP portal.

It is interesting to note that the top 3 mobile websites in South Africa served 65 million page views, showing the popularity of using mobile devices to access the Internet.
