Hacker group Anonymous have placed a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack on Virgin Media’s website.

This is a response the hacking collective have made in regards to Virgin Media’s involvement in the censorship and blocking of torrent sharing website The Pirate Bay.

“Our website, virginmedia.com, has been the subject of denial of service attacks so we took the site offline for a short period of time,” a Virgin Media spokesperson confirmed.

The Virgin Media website is currently still inactive.
