Dell reveals first Windows 8 tablet

Dell will launch a 10-inch tablet as its first Windows 8 device, according to leaked documents

Leaked documents have unveiled Dell’s first tablet PC product that will make use of the Windows 8 operating system: the Latitude 10.

News site, Neowin obtained documents which detail the 10-inch form-factor tablet’s specifications list.

The tablet will feature a 10.1 =-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1,366 x 768, as well as a dual-core Intel Atom processor based on the Clover Trail platform.

Other standout features include a fingerprint reader; 8 megapixel rear facing camera; 2 megapixel front facing camera; 2GB of RAM; and a 128GB solid state drive (SSD).

The new tablet will come with a removable battery which will come in two sizes. The smaller battery will provide between 6 and 8 hours of battery life, while the larger one is expected to last between 10 and 12 hours.

No pricing or release date information was revealed.
