A Japanese repair site has put together an iPhone 5 mock-up after using individual purported parts.
The parts became available through a Chinese mobile phone parts seller, with the Japanese website, iLab.cc, buying the parts up to assemble the phone.
The phone features a smaller dock connector, an elongated display, a centred front FaceTime camera, and a rear metal plate – elements which are rumoured to be featured on the forthcoming phone.
It’s unknown whether the parts are official Apple components, though it’s unlikely given that the device has not even been announced.
Earlier this month, it came to light that one could pre-order the not-yet-released product from enterprising sellers via the online marketplace, Taobao.
