NASA’s rover has been on Mars for a week now, and the team back in Washington, D.C. have received multiple images from Curiosity.

High quality photos of the Martian surface are now available, and photographer Andre Bodrov has stitched them together to create a panoramic view of the Red Planet.

The gravel-like surface, mountain range and glaring sun are all viewable from the photos.

According to NASA’s Photojournal: “The images show a landscape that closely resembles portions of the southwestern United States in its morphology, adding to the impression gained from the lower-resolution thumbnail mosaic released early in the week.”

The hi-res photos can be downloaded from NASA’s site, at a staggering 29,184 x 4,144 pixels.
