As rumours surrounding a smaller version of Apple’s tablet begin to heat up, alleged schematics of the supposed “iPad Mini” have appeared online.
The schematics were obtained by ThinkiOS.com through an anonymous source in China.
Based on mockups and purported image leaks, it appears the device will have a significantly smaller form-factor, be lighter in weight, and come at a cheaper price than the current iPad – all while still maintaining a 4:3 aspect ratio for the display.
This smaller iPad is widely expected to have a 7.85-inch, 1024 × 768 resolution display.
The rumoured device is speculated to be revealed alongside the next iPhone at Apple’s next media event on 12 September 2012.
