Delivering a speech from the Ecuador embassy in London, WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange said the United States must “renounce its witchhunt against WikiLeaks.”

Assange continued, saying that the US must “dissolve its FBI investigation” and pledge not to act against journalists who are “shining a light upon the secret crimes of the powerful.”

The Ecuadorean government announced last week that it will grant WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange asylum, defying threats of arrest from the UK government.
