LG unveil 4.7-inch Optimus L9

Following LG’s announcement of the Optimus G, the Korean company has revealed the latest addition to its L-Series line of smartphones, the L9.

Featuring Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich), the Optimus L9 will sport a 1GHz dual-core processor and 4.7-inch IPS display. The 9.1-millimeter-thick L9 will also feature a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a high-density 2150mAH SiO+ battery.

The L9 boasts QTranslator optical character recognition technology, giving the ability to translate words and sentences from over 44 foreign languages using the device’s camera.

LG are expected to demonstrate the device at this week’s IFA 2012 consumer electronics show, taking place from 31 August – 5 September 2012.
