Twitter users can now make money off their tweets – no matter who you are.

Global advertisers Ad Dynamo have launched a new Sponsored Tweets service, which allows users to sign up and get paid for promoting advertisers’ products and services.

Once users are signed up, they respond to briefs prepared by the advertisers. Users with large followings can charge more per tweet than those with a small influence.

The promoted tweets are monitored and checked before they are published by the advertisers.

“On social networks like Twitter, consumers are heavily influenced by the recommendations of real people. Third party recommendations are highly valued because they’re impartial and based on personal experience, which is why many brands now pay celebrities for endorsed tweets”, said Sean Riley, CEO of Ad Dynamo.
