Firefox OS marketplace makes an appearance

Leaked images showcase Firefox OS’s marketplace

Firefox OS

While Mozilla continues to send its upcoming OS to developers for testing, a few images have leaked showing the Firefox OS marketplace.

The pictures show a simple store which separates apps into various categories, rather than bundling all the apps together.

Other typical app store features are present: there is a search bar; categories; ratings; and details for each app, but not much else.

Only free apps are visible, assuming that Mozilla is still finalising pricing plans for the marketplace.

Mozilla previously referred to its system as “Boot to Gecko”, but seems to have now settled on Firefox OS.

Mozilla’s Firefox OS is scheduled to debut for mobile devices in the second half of 2013.
