An alleged image of BlackBerry’s upcoming L-Series handset has hit the Internet.

The picture shows the forthcoming device, which is reportedly running on RIM’s new software, BlackBerry 10.

The image also shows the app launcher, which gives an idea of the layout and style of the new OS.

The “L-Series” phone also made an earlier appearance in an aggressively blurred-out video from BlackBerry Italia, showing the phone’s boot-up SIM-card instruction.

The only information regarding the devices is that BlackBerry’s LS1 battery will power two different L-Series phones, codenamed “London” and “Liverpool”.

RIM is expected to debut the device at a BlackBerry Jam event later this month.
