Samsung is reportedly preparing to sue Apple over the use of LTE technology in the upcoming iPhone iteration.

Expected to be unveiled at a press event in San Francisco on Wednesday, the iPhone 5 will reportedly feature the fourth-generation wireless networking, which Samsung holds numerous patents to.

The South Korean electronics company “has decided to take immediate legal action,” an industry source told the Korea Times. Europe and the United States are “primary targets,” the source said.

Apple is hosting an event on 12 September, rumoured to be the unveiling of the iPhone 5, with a release date pegged shortly thereafter, on Friday 21 September.
